With a wardrobe dominated by a palette of black, white, navy, grey and of course – stripes, colour is out of my comfort zone. So here’s something adventurous by my standards – a dose of cornflower blue.

I actually discovered this Cos knot detail top on Instagram [shop it online here] and there was something about the clean aesthetic and trend-transcending traits that appealed. The seventies bohemian revival may be hotter in the fashion world than Kendall K. right now, yet it feels like a throwaway trend destined for the sale rails. [I’ll probably regret saying that when it’s still going strong come SS16!] Hence why I'm trying to buy boho sparingly [although I have the urge to buy peasant tops en masse] and invest in wear-forever styles like this top instead.
I’ve paired my new purchase with Warehouse black culottes [so easy + comfy] and these great silver mirrored Next block sandals that have the perfect mid-height ‘walkable’ heel. Expect to see this look again - I have a feeling I’ll be wearing this outfit all summer!
