The festive season is pretty much here, so when Warehouse kindly offered me a dress to review, I knew I needed a party-ready piece. If you are struggling to find you Christmas party dress, I recommend checking out Warehouse - I think their offering is one of the best on the high street this season. I picked the black tuxedo dress - I am all about minimal and simple dressing at the moment and this piece is formal without being fussy. It also reminded me of the Victoria Beckham tuxedo dress from her AW13 collection that Diane Kruger has been seen wearing on the red carpet.
I kept my accessories simple to continue the minimal theme - the structured maroon chain strap bag is a recent purchase from BHS (yes, really!) that can be worn as a clutch too. With a v-shaped neckline, a necklace is always a necessity and my Anna Lou of London rose gold monogrammed necklace is the perfect collar-bone skimming length. A sharp pointed court looks great with a minimal look - my fierce leopard print and ponyhair pair are courtesy of Nine West at Debenhams. Just a little tip - if you are smaller in the cleavage department - like me - you will need to pin/ put a stitch in the plunging neckline so that it doesn't reveal too much flesh! Minor amendment aside - this really fabulous piece - it can also be worn for day ala VB with a sleeveless shirt and thigh high boots.
What will you be wearing this festive season?
